Achieving Business Unification through Change Management and Training

The Client

The client is a premier window fashions manufacturing company with fabrication sites across North America. They provide high quality, innovative, and proprietary products to customers all over the world.

The Challenge

The company was launching an initiative to bring the North American operations together under a common business platform, with the ultimate goal of being more unified and effective. As part of this transformation, Strong-Bridge Envision led the Business Readiness/Organizational Change Management workstream, including defining the training approach and plan. The client lacked a centralized training function, making the planning of such an effort increasingly complex.

The Solution

We partnered with the client to build a plan covering the training needs of over 40 roles and 2,000 employees. Activities completed in this plan included:

Interviewing personnel to establish training delivery preferences
Selecting a Learning Management System to support the rollout
Identifying and organizing the training delivery teams
Determining how to provide live system access without a dedicated training environment
Presenting the plan and securing the support of the Project Management Office and key stakeholders

The Impact

We successfully developed the plan to the satisfaction of the Project Management Office, outlined key components of a Train-the-Trainer approach, and worked with the client to leverage the Learning Management system. Our team also identified and resolved several issues as part of the planning phase. As a result, the client has continued its partnership with us for training implementation related to the first of three planned go-lives.
